The Gov't Mule concert scheduled to take place at the Raleigh Amphitheater on July 16 has been rescheduled for July 26. Tickets purchased for the July 16 concert will be honored night of show on July 26. The original concert, this past Friday, needed to be halted 3 songs into Gov’t Mule’s show due to severe weather. Jackie Greene who opened the show and was able to perform his entire set before the storm hit, has prior commitments and will not be performing on July 26. ALLMAN BROTHERS @ THE UNITED PALACE IN NYC
In what has become a rite of passage and annual destination for fans of the Allman Brothers Band, the iconic and revered group will return to New York City in March 2010 for a lengthy residency beginning March 11, with eight shows confirmed (March 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20), just as they have since 1989. 2010 marks a change of venue for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group: they’re taking their act uptown to the 3200-capacity United Palace Theatre (formerly known as the 175th Street Theatre) in lieu of the Beacon Theatre which is unable to host the ABB due to a 2010 scheduling conflict. LES PAUL RIP - A MESSAGE FROM WARREN
Today we lost a giant in the world of music and recording. Although we have lost way too many heroes/icons in recent months I am compelled to speak out in honor of Les Paul whom I knew (a little), played with once, and obviously respected and revered.
Les was the Jimi Hendrix of his time and although his heyday was way before my time, as a student of music, I would learn a lot about his monumental contributions as a guitarist and as an innovator of multi-track recording. Like Hendrix he changed the world for every guitarist who came after him whether they knew it or not.
Being a guitarist known mostly for playing "Les Paul" guitars I was approached several years ago by my friends at Gibson Guitars about helping to design and launch a Signature Les Paul guitar. My initial response was "I'm not Les Paul. There's nothing different or special about my guitars that I can take credit for-all the credit goes to him." It took years for me to finally feel that I (along with Brian Farmer, John Cutler, and Peter Miller) had come up with a unique design worthy of taking some credit for.
After hearing of Les' passing I feel even more honored to be considered/asked to help carry on the tradition of the Les Paul guitar. I am even more honored to have known him. He was truly a giant. - Sincerely, Warren Haynes

NEW YEARS ANNOUNCEMENT
For the 7th consecutive year, Gov't Mule will celebrate New Year's in New York City. Due to the on-going renovations at the Beacon Theatre, the band will be relocating, and for the first ever during its New Year's Run, play 4 shows and do so in 2 different venues. On December 27th and 28th, Gov't Mule will play acoustically in the magnificent Angel Orensanz Center on The Lower East Side and then on December 30th and 31st Gov't Mule will play the historic Hammerstein Ballroom. Keeping with tradition, the band will play 3 sets on New Year's Eve.
Much consideration was taken into choosing these venues. The band has always wanted to play Angel Orensanz, a former temple which is a visually and acoustically superb room, and jumped at doing so when the opportunity presented itself. The Hammerstein Ballroom, with its extremely accessible location as well as its mixture of seated balconies (both reserved and general admission) as well as its expansive open floor, will appeal to all of our fans needs. With its location in midtown Manhattan, and its close proximity to public transportation to New Jersey, as well as the Long Island Railroad and Metro North, it is one of the more convenient venues in New York City to reach. Finally, we will be offering several VIP and travel packages which were designed to give our fans the best experience possible. We have been working the past few weeks to try and come up with a solution for the situation in Owensboro, KY. For those of you who don't know the venue was closed after a bank foreclosure. We have found a venue, and the show will go on at the Capitol Arts Center in Bowling Green, KY on July 12th. Unfortunately tickets for the cancelled show in Owensboro, KY will NOT be honored by the new venue, but refunds are now available through www.ticketmaster.com. ALLMAN BROTHERS POSTPONE BEACON RUN, DROP OFF WANEE
The Allman Brothers have dropped off the Wanee Festival and postponed their 15 show run at The Beacon Theatre due to health issues with founding member Gregg Allman. Gregg has been receiving scheduled treatments for Hepatitis C, a virus that, with these treatments, has become curable in recent years. The treatments so far have been successful and the virus has been eradicated from his system. However, the recovery time from the side effects of the treatment are taking longer than originally projected. Since the Allman Brothers Band are known for exhilarating and exhausting concert performances they don't want to give fans anything less than they have come to expect; so the band members made a group decision to delay the first round of dates. "I'm getting better but I'm still tired," says Gregg. "I need to be at 110% to do the shows the way we do them. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support and understanding my Brothers and our fans have given me." The Wanee Festival will still go on with Gov't Mule, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival, moe., Levon Helm and others in Live Oak, FL on April 11th and 12th. WARREN HAYNES AND GRACE POTTER TO HOST JAMMY AWARDS
Warren Haynes and Grace Potter will co-host the seventh Jammy Awards at New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden on May 7. A four-time Jammy Award Winner and seven-time Grammy Nominee, Haynes has appeared at the Jammys a number of times over the years, performing with both Gov’t Mule and the Allman Brothers Band. Potter took home the New Groove Jammy in 2006 and performed with an eclectic cast that included Joe Satriani, Steve Kimock, Jane's Addiction’s Stephen Perkins, Willy Waldman and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey bassist Reed Mathis. Haynes and Potter have performed together a handful of times recently, often collaborating on lauded classic-rock covers.

SPECIAL NEW ORLEANS SHOWS ANNOUNCED
On Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd, Gov't Mule returns to New Orleans for the 10th straight year for two special shows at the Contemporary Arts Center as part of Superfly during Jazzfest 2008. New Orleans holds a place in the band's heart and has been the site of many extraordinary and historic shows, including The Deepest End. The band has a few tricks up its sleeve to celebrate the fifth anniversary of that show and its first 2 night run in town since Hurricane Katrina. Further info will be announced shortly.

We have some new fall tour dates to announce to you today. The September Leg of the Mighty High Tour that kicks off on September 6th in New York City and September 7th in Boston will continue on to Portland, Maine (9.11), Montreal, Canada (9.14) and Burlington, Vermont (9.15). Also, just because we are in an announcing mood we are pleased to give you a sneak preview of the Second Leg of the Mighty High Tour. The Tower Theatre in Philadelphia will get the Mule on October 6th, and for Halloween the Mule will be performing at the O'Shaughnessey Theatre in St. Paul, MN.

This tour will bring the band back East by way of some of our favorite southern venues. NYC VIRGIN MEGASTORE PERFORMANCE 8/21
Gov't Mule will be performing and signing copies of the new album on Monday, 8/21 at the New York City Virgin Megastore in Union Square. The performance will start at 11:30 PM. Gov't Mule will be performing on Saturday, September 2, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO with Yonder Mountain String Band. THE MOUNTAIN JAM RETURNS
WDST and Warren Haynes Present The Second Annual Mountain Jam on June 3rd and 4th at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY. This will be a two day festival with on site camping and Gov't Mule will be headlining with two sets each night. There will be 20 Bands on two stages including Michael Franti and Spearhead, Medeski, Martin and Wood and Keller Williams. We are pleased to announce that Gov't Mule will be performing at The Egyptian Room at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, IN this October 31st for a very special Halloween Evening. We are also happy to announce the next leg of The Fall '05 Tour which will begin in Florida, where the Mule will play 5 shows including 2 headlining gigs at the Down On the Farm Festival in Quincy. From there, the tour will head north for a 5 show show Southern run which hits 3 of the band's favorite rooms in The Ryman, Alabama Theatre and The Tabernacle for 2 special nights and then the Cannon Center in Memphis. Select shows will feature either Rose Hill Drive or Beitthemeans as special guest openers. Please be assured that even when there is an opener, the Mule will perform a full 2 set show.

While we were preparing to announce Gov't Mule's Fall Tour this afternoon, a few new and exciting show possibilities emerged. We hope to finalize them and be able to announce shortly...hopefully before the weekend. We can tell you that there will be a Halloween night show and then the tour will resume in Florida for five shows including the Down on The Farm Festival in Quincy and will continue through the first week of December in the South and Northeast.
And due to demand, we have added a final show to the Gov't Mule/moe. co-headlining West Coast Tour at the McDonald Theatre in Eugene, OR on October 17th. Tickets for the Eugene show will be available through Mule Ticketing Friday September 9th at Noon Pacific Time.
